Actor Nathan Stewart-Jarrett was born in London in 1987 and attended the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama as well as the Brit school. He starred in early stage productions such as The History Boys at the National Theatre before landing parts in Misfits on E4 and Utopia on Channel 4. He starred in both the Broadway adaptation of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America and its 2017 National Theatre run. His roles in Dom Hemingway, Candyman, and Femme earned him a 2023 Bifa award for best combined lead performance alongside George MacKay. He has been on television in shows including The Trial of Christine Keeler and Doctor Who. He plays the lead in the heist thriller Culprits, which premieres on ITVX on December 19.

This kind of broke me when I first saw it, not long ago. It is a classic for a reason; in my opinion, it is the most magnificent and vibrant item in the world. Nino Castelnuovo, a mechanic, and Catherine Deneuve, an umbrella vendor, are two young individuals who fall in love. He then departs for the war; he survives, but a terrible tragedy occurs. Does not everyone enjoy a little Christmas crying, even though it is the most tragic narrative of the year?

Although I did not know much about the artist, I found this exhibition to be incredibly intriguing—political and rebellious. In addition to these bizarre installations and monkeys with large buttocks and fruit-like genitalia, he created a lot of performance art in New York. I thought it was a cool premise that he said adolescence is like a poltergeist taking over your body. The way he stuck it to the man, his sense of humor, and his gritty perspective made me believe that perhaps art and business are now too closely related.

Tennis has become my obsession. [Ex-player] I am not claiming that Conor Niland is a failure, but I do believe that his book, which explores the highs and lows of failure, is a study in failure. Despite his ranking of 129th in the world, he aspired to be the greatest Irish player of the Open era, and he succeeded. Writing a book about missing the moment, not being the person you know you can be, and occasionally just experiencing a run of poor luck piqued my curiosity. This felt a bit too familiar to me because I am an actress.

These [1950s] films about Elisabeth, the Empress of Austria, starred Romay Schneider and were part of the Sissi series. I am forward to watch the upcoming season of this Netflix series, which is about her early years. Her life at the palace is the subject of a historical drama in German; the Emperor’s mother disapproves of her, leading to a power struggle, but ultimately, the nation falls in love with her. It has this Visconti-like quality that I truly enjoy, and it looks fantastic.

I adore this eatery. There are two small tables in the windows, which are ideal for small talk or gossip. It simply feels completely personal. It is modern Italian food; I suppose I had never tasted the flatbread with mussel butter and chili before. The sommelier joined us for a drink at one point. It has all the makings of a terrific restaurant: excellent food, fantastic drinks, a laid-back atmosphere, and excellent service. I want to live on Golborne Road because of that.
