Drake has revealed that he will be returning to the UK for several performances this summer.
The regular collaborator PartyNextDoor will support the Canadian rapper on the $some $pecial $hows 4 UK tour in July.
Drake has revealed that he will perform twice in a row on July 20 and 21 at Birmingham’s Utila Arena before traveling further north to Manchester on July 25 and 26.
Later in the year, Drizzy will go to other European cities, including Paris, Milan, and Berlin, starting in September.
On Drake’s official website, tickets for the performances will go on presale on Wednesday, June 4, and then go on sale on Friday, June 6.
Drake’s announcement, which comes soon after the 6 God ended his run of shows in Australia and New Zealand, marks the first time he has played the UK and Europe in six years.
Drake has already announced that he will be the main act at the UK’s Wireless Festival in July.
The 20th anniversary edition of the event, which will be held in London’s Finsbury Park from July 11 to 13, will feature three distinct performances by Drizzy over the course of the weekend.
Since PARTYNEXTDOOR will be performing at the first show, tracks from their most recent joint album, Some $exy $ongs 4 U, are likely to be featured prominently on the set list.
On the opening night, it is anticipated that fellow R&B artist Summer Walker would take the stage with the 6 God.
Known as “Drake & The Mandem,” the Saturday night show is anticipated to include cameos by several British rappers with whom the 6 God has worked over the years, including Skepta, Giggs, Central Cee, Dave, and Headie One.
Given that Drake will be accompanied by Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel, the closing act appears to have a stronger Afrobeats and Dancehall influence.
The three-day event is already fully booked, and despite the fact that the festival is only a month away, no additional acts have been confirmed.
Kendrick Lamar, who is playing several stadiums on his Grand National Tour, will also be in the UK at the same time as Drake.
