Despite the fact that not many people purchased his new album, Blame the Chat, Drake has shown DDG some love.
During his webcast, DDG spoke to Drizzy over FaceTime, and his hero gave him some encouraging words.
After saying, “Congrats on your album,” Drake made Adin Ross look foolish by revealing that he hadn’t listened to the project yet.
In response to Drake, DDG said, “Thank you, buddy.”
Despite Drake’s love, Blame the Chat has failed to get any traction at all, thus it hasn’t been reproduced across America.
It was once believed that the album had only sold 500 copies during the first week of the YouTuber-turned-rapper’s career. However, it was later verified that 1,230 copies had been sold.
The album was actually on track to sell 11,000 copies in its first week of release, according to DDG’s later claims.
In any case, the album has not made it to the Billboard 200 ranking.
In a live video, the rapper and YouTuber acknowledged that he must labor nonstop to pay his bills.
“I have to make money,” he added. The bills are high. Have I mentioned the monthly amount of my bills? My bills are really hefty. I’ll go bankrupt as soon as possible if I don’t work.
“Like, I have to work,” DDG continued. I have no other option. I’m not attempting to embezzle money. I own several houses and vehicles. I have relatives. I’m a parent. I have a lot of expenses.
DDG’s judgment as a parent has also been questioned, in addition to his financial choices.
Alle Bailey, his ex-partner, chastised him last year for secretly bringing their small son to Kai Cenat’s webcast.
“H]i everyone. In November, she said on X, “Just so you know, I’m out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight.”
“I am really upset to give birth in front of millions of people, and I wasn’t informed or told.” I’m sorry that I wasn’t informed, especially while I’m out of town, as I am his mother and protector.
