E-Dee isn’t trying to reinvent himself in 2026. He’s simply doing what he’s always done best—making music that feels good, sounds familiar, and still moves forward.
His new single, “Beauty Girl,” produced by Jahsee and released on Clarendon Records, is a smooth blend of dancehall and Afrobeats, built around romance and intention. It’s a record made for late nights, slow movement, and genuine admiration. No gimmicks. Just vibe.
The song leans into melody, warmth, and E-Dee’s signature delivery—confident without forcing it. “Beauty Girl” doesn’t rush. It knows exactly what it is.
A Long Road From Clarendon to Los Angeles
Born Everton Dennis in Toll Gate, Clarendon, Jamaica, E-Dee’s journey hasn’t been linear. He’s the youngest of eight children and faced major loss early in life with the passing of his mother. That experience shaped him—and pushed him to look beyond what was in front of him.
Eventually, that road led to Los Angeles, where he committed fully to both music and acting. He studied, trained, and worked—quietly building a foundation before the spotlight ever followed.
By the early 2000s, E-Dee was collaborating with Grammy-winning producer Qmillion and signed with Unseen Lab Recordings. In 2005, he released his debut single “R U Ready”, followed by the album JA 2 LA 2 DI World, a title that summed up his identity perfectly—Jamaican roots with a global mindset.
Music That Travels Without Losing Its Accent
E-Dee’s catalog includes Jamaican chart favorites like “Revolution” featuring Irie Love and “Bongce Along” featuring Ms. Triniti. He’s never chased trends, but he’s always adapted—bringing dancehall into new spaces without diluting it.

His 2022 album Elevate, featuring Wayne Wonder, I-Octane, and Glen Washington, earned Reggae Grammy consideration, reinforcing his respect within the genre.
In 2025, he released “Water Run,” a sensual, summer-ready track—also produced by Jahsee—that reminded fans of his ability to pair music with strong visuals and storytelling.
“Beauty Girl” feels like the next chapter of that same lane.
Beyond Music: A Natural Actor
Acting has never felt like a side quest for E-Dee. In 2011, he starred in Out the Gate, a biopic loosely inspired by his life, alongside Jamaican legends Paul Campbell and Oliver Samuels. The film is now streaming on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and YouTube.
His on-screen work continued with projects like GangLand the Musical, Mother-In-Law, and Chocolate City 3, available across Starz, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. He’s also set to appear in Temperature Rising, starring Omar Gooding and DeAndre Bonds, slated for release in summer 2025.
Even when he’s not on screen, E-Dee’s music shows up—featured in films like I Think I Love My Wife and TV series including Blue Bloods and Love & Hip Hop.
Still Moving, Still Relevant
“Beauty Girl” doesn’t feel like a comeback or a reinvention. It feels like an artist who knows his lane and isn’t interested in noise.
E-Dee has been doing this long enough to understand timing, patience, and evolution. And as 2026 begins, he’s proving that consistency—and authenticity—still matter.
“Beauty Girl” is out now on all major streaming platforms.
