Carpenter talked to the magazine about her busy and prosperous year, which included finishing the North American leg of her sold-out tour and releasing her 12-song album “Short n’ Sweet” in late July.
“Compared to other shows I have performed, this tour has been a lot more enjoyable. Every night feels different depending on the audience’s emotions and what they are giving me because it is so theatrical and includes them,” she said. “The fact that we sold out every show on my first stadium tour really astounded me. That was truly overwhelming, but in a good way.
Carpenter’s pop album has achieved platinum status, topped the Billboard 200 list, and been nominated for multiple Grammy awards, including album of the year. On Spotify alone, the star’s hit song “Espresso” has had over a billion plays.
Last Friday, “A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter,” her Christmas special, was made available on Netflix. The show also features other vocalists including Chappell Roan and Tyla.
Last week saw the release of the eagerly awaited Spotify Wrapped, which showcases the best tracks from music streamers along with additional listening data. In 2024, Carpenter’s “Espresso” was the most popular song among all streams, but Taylor Swift was the most popular artist. Additionally, “Short n’ Sweet” made it into the top ten albums.
