The alleged murderer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, Luigi Mangione, appears to be the subject of 50 Cent’s upcoming documentary.
The media tycoon wrote on Wednesday, December 11, in an Instagram post that has since been removed: “I do not know, I kind of like this killer.” I apologize for the way things are going, but I am working on a documentary about him.
“He is unique!” he continued. If someone does not understand, I apologize in advance.
An passage from Mangione’s purported manifesto, which was purportedly discovered in his hands upon his arrest earlier this week, prompted 50’s post.
The passage says, “To the Feds, I will keep this brief, because I do admire what you do for our country.” “I want to be clear that I was not collaborating with anyone in order to spare you a time-consuming investigation.
This was quite simple: a lot of patience, some basic CAD, and some social engineering. If there is a spiral notebook, it contains some straggling notes and To Do lists that help to clarify its main points.
On Monday, December 8, Luigi Mangione, 26, was taken into custody and accused with murder in addition to four other accusations, including possession of weapons.
A diner at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, recognized Mangione, an Ivy League graduate from an affluent Maryland family, when he was discovered carrying a rifle and a handwritten letter that expressed “bad intent” for corporate America.
Authorities think the murder may have been motivated by a dislike of what Mangione called “parasitic” health insurance firms in his manifesto.
According to reports, the former student of computer science also experienced crippling back pain and had recently turned inward.
“This is utterly out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people!” he yelled at reporters and scuffled with police as he was carried into court on Tuesday, December 10, for an extradition hearing.
Despite being refused bail, Mangione has resisted being extradited to New York. Governor Kathy Hochul of New York has now given Pennsylvania 30 days to get an extradition warrant.
50 Cent is presently working on a another documentary about Diddy, another alleged criminal.
Earlier this year, the rap icon, who has made a name for himself in the film and television industries over the past ten years, secured a buyer for the project on Netflix.
The series, which has not yet been given a title, will focus on the numerous sexual assault cases against the Bad Boy entrepreneur as well as his involvement in sex trafficking and racketeering.
This is a tale that has a profound effect on people. In a joint statement with director Alexandria Stapleton, 50 stated, “It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips shown so far.”
“We are unwavering in our resolve to provide genuine and complex viewpoints and to offer voice to those who lack it. Even while the accusations are unsettling, we implore everyone to keep in mind that the tale of hip-hop and its culture is not entirely told by Sean Combs.
